About

Soundproof Windows for Architects!

When you work as an architect, your reputation matters. It’s essential that clients trust you and your partners to deliver a service that combines quality with expertise and reliability.

At Hugo Carter, we understand this. We know how important it is to convince architects of both the excellence of our award-winning silent windows and our trustworthiness as regular partners.

We have worked with numerous architects on a host of projects and our soundproof windows helped to create exceptional results for them and their clients.

Let us demonstrate the qualities that deliver excellence while enhancing your good name in the eyes of your customers.

Why Architects Love Us?

Hugo Carter are ideal partners for architects for a wide variety of reasons. For a start, we could not be further removed from the conventional, tainted image of double-glazing salesmen.

We are qualified engineers who understand the science of silence. We do not require an interpreter when it comes to architectural drawings.

Our expertise is based not in sales techniques, but in experience and scientific learning. Our team has been trained by experts from the Institute of Acoustics at Southampton Solent University. That gives us insight into specific issues such as room acoustics, noise analysis and noise mitigation techniques.

It is important to us to build long-term relationships that will be mutually beneficial. Partnership and collaboration are central to the way we operate at Hugo Carter.

At the same time, we are happy to act on a consultancy basis and will share our expert insight without the requirement for a lasting commitment.

Our unique combination of skills means we can call on expertise in traditional and modern timber, aluminium and crittall systems and noise reduction solutions.

The excellence of our products and our approach was recognised in 2019 when our Silent Windows won a UK Enterprise Award for the Best Window and Door Manufacturer and the Most Innovative Noise Reduction Product & most recently the 2021 West London Business Award for best manufacturer.

When architects work with us, they receive the benefits of our knowledge and of the fact that we understand how they operate in a way that allows us to work together in delivering an outstanding customer experience.

How we add value for Architects

Noise Reduction

As you will be aware, the ability to create quiet spaces is a major selling point for housebuilders and home owners.

Our Silent Windows and the technology that goes into producing them deliver significant benefits for people who crave a peaceful haven in a bustling world.

We relish the opportunity to work with architects at the design stage of any building project. We can ensure that you are able to offer a high-quality noise reduction solution that operates harmoniously along with the rest of your design.

Our expertise and experience, and the fact we construct all our window installations from scratch, mean we can offer a wide range of bespoke noise reduction solutions.

If you are creating a new-build property, working on a renovation project or restoring and upgrading a Listed building, we can bring you the peace of mind that comes with working alongside talented professionals.

Even when you are faced with difficult or challenging architectural projects, we can provide a solution that works for you and your clients.

Listed Buildings

We understand that upgrading or replacing original windows when you live in a listed property is complicated – but not impossible.

Our input from an early stage can help architects negotiate the delicate balance between preserving the original look of a building and delivering the benefits of modern design and materials.

Hugo Carter’s team of skilled engineers understand the legal requirements of the situation, while having the insight and creative flair to be able to produce a solution that satisfies all parties.

Our attention to detail means we can create exact replicas of the historic windows to satisfy the planning authorities while ensuring that the new installations are as soundproofed and efficient as possible.

Choosing a partner that understands the technicalities of working on listed buildings can make a huge difference to your ability to design and deliver a project that works for you and your clients.

No job is too bespoke for us. Our experience with listed buildings leaves us perfectly placed to cope with the demands of any situation.

Large Projects

Versatility and flexibility are defining characteristics of the way in which we work with architects.

We can help if you want a single soundproof window installed on a one-bedroom apartment. However, we are also the ideal partner if you want to create a design for the windows in a whole block of flats or large hotel.

Large projects of all shapes and sizes are straightforward for us because we are manufacturers too.

If your project has 1,000 windows, we will be able to work closely with you and then build them to your design.

We can work with traditional and modern timber, as well as aluminium. On top of residential projects, we have the capacity and capability to deliver soundproof windows for a host of commercial properties too.

If you are working on the creation of a hotel, a hospital, a shopping centre, even an office block, at Hugo Carter we have the bandwidth to design and deliver the windows that are so key to the success of such a project.

Our Soundproof Windows

Because we manufacture every window ourselves, architects and clients can be assured that the products we deliver will be the perfect solution for their particular situation.

Our products are:

Sash windows. Our bespoke range of Silent Windows noise reduction timber sash windows can drastically reduce the noise being experienced inside a property.

Casement windows. We deliver a high level of security and comfort if our experts conclude that this is the right solution for your situation.

High performance windows. The top of our range. These enable us to deliver a significant drop in noise levels.

Silent doors. When you are redesigning the rear of your property, or installing a new front door, our silent doors combine elegance with efficiency.

Secondary windows. If you are unable to change the existing windows, possibly because you are in a listed building, a secondary window – hugely superior to traditional double glazing – could be just the job for you.

It also beats traditional secondary glazing because of its outstanding performance, robust and durable construction and great look.
