This CPD provides a comprehensive introduction to the benefits of decentralised ventilation systems for low-energy buildings. It focuses on system design to comply with approved document F, exploring the array of variations appropriate to different project requirements.

By the end of the CPD you should have a greater understanding of:

- Why mechanical ventilation is important, and the benefits of decentralised systems.

- How to comply with regulation.

- The pros and cons of DCV systems and when to use them.

- The differences between traditional and decentralised MVHR systems, hybrid systems, and when to use them.

- The fundamental principles of mechanical ventilation systems, and best practice for design and installation.
