Evolution of Thermally Broken Window Profiles

Description

We will be looking into the history of Aluminium windows. Starting from a non-thermal window through to a polyamide and polyurethane thermally broken window. We will cover the brief history of Approved Document L and the changes in there which have influenced the design of aluminium windows over the years.

By the end of the CPD you should have a greater understanding of:

- The history of Approved Document L

- The evolution of an aluminium window

- CEN standard U values achieved with the different products and showing how they have improved over the years

- The benefits of using a polyurethane system.
