Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, where you will witness the intricate process of traditional fibrous plastering in action. Led by Neal Barry, an experienced project overseer with over 30 years in the trade, this seminar will provide a unique hands-on experience, including sculpting and casting your own ornamental feature.

Learning Aims:

  • Gain insight into the traditional craft of fibrous plastering, from raw material to final product.
  • Understand the historical significance of architectural motifs and enrichments.
  • Participate in interactive activities such as paint stripping, sculpting, and casting.
  • Learn about the importance of design details in architecture, such as cornice profiles.

  • Group Size: Maximum of 6 attendees to ensure a personal and engaging experience.
  • Travel Arrangements: The nearest stations are Laindon, West Horndon, and Shenfield. We offer station pick-ups for up to 4 people.
  • Special Considerations: Protective shoe covers will be provided. Please note potential allergens during the fibre glassing demonstration; attendees will be required to stand at a safe distance.
