This CPD will discuss what is expected when using External Wall Insulation as a form of cladding. It will move through an explanation on reaction to fire and resistance to fire, an overview of testing, legislation, health and safety, sustainability and some case studies. By the end of the seminar you should have a greater understanding of:

• Complex changing legislation in relation to EWI facades and fire.
• The issues that have been raised post Grenfell.
• The makeup of the Euro-classes used in Reaction to Fire and the importance of the smoke and burning droplet subcategories.
