RIBACPD
This CPD will explore different historic glazing types and which types were used in which era (to which vernacular it belongs). From there, the presentation will demonstrate how historic glazing can be incorporated in modern systems to achieve both the correct historic look and feel as well as modern acoustic and thermal insulation values. By the end of the CPD you should have a greater understanding of: - How to identify historic glazing (which type it is and which era it belongs to) - How to specify the correct historic glass type in combination with either thin double glazing or laminated systems - How to identify which U and dB values are achievable for glazing in historic windows
