This session will explain life cycle assessment and environmental product declarations, how they relate to leading green building standards, and how project teams can consider these deliverables when assessing the impact of a project. Topics discussed include the benefits and limitations of life cycle assessment, how life cycle assessment is valued by green building programs, the differences in methods between life cycle assessment, whole building life cycle assessment, embodied carbon and other, and a sense of what the future holds for environmentally footprinting.
