This CPD is intended for delegates with a limited, background knowledge of Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems. The presentation provides an overview of the relevance of MVHR to modern homes in Northern Ireland, with specific reference to Building Regulations Technical Booklet K. It examines relevant issues including Sustainability, Balanced Ventilation, Controllability, The Transfer of Sound and Noise, and Filtration. It also considers additional items which must be addressed when designing or specifying an MVHR system.
