The New Synthetics

Description

In this seminar, I will explore the rise of synthetic fabrics in the twentieth century and those in particular that are currently being manufactured on a large commercial scale. As we grow increasingly aware of the limited natural resources available, there is a growing urgency to replace those resources with more sustainable alternatives. What those alternatives are will be examined in this seminar and help to determine if synthetics truly have a place in the future and whether they can replace the synthetics in large-scale production today.
