Zinc as a Facade Material

Description

This CPD seminar will explore the use of zinc as a building material for facades, looking at traditional fully supported facade systems such as standing seam and flat lock panels, as well as rainscreen facade systems.

By the end of this CPD, delegates should:

1. Have an understanding of how zinc history has formed the modern use of zinc for facades.

2. Know how zinc for facades is produced and how it performs from a sustainability perspective.

3. Be aware of the finishes of zinc that are currently available.

4. Have an in depth knowledge of the systems on offer and to understand the difference between fully supported facade systems and rainscreens.

5. Understand how zinc facades perform and what can be offered to assist architects to make the correct choices.
